I am fulfilling a
vision that
I hope will bless you as it has blessed me.
Bits from Bobbie
My favorite memories of Dad are of times we shared --- laughing, being
silly, and playing at the beach together. A treasured black and white
photo shows us holding hands at Jones Beach when I was 5.
Actually, both Mom
and Dad loved the beach. Mom preferred shelling and finding
treasures hidden in
the sand. Dad was the one who loved to body surf in the waves, something
he taught all his children and grandchildren to do.
Dad was 88 years old when
he died. He had spent every day of his life sharing his wonderful sense
of humor, his caring for others, and his unending love for his family.
I fully realize how truly
blessed I am to have had the extraordinary father I did for almost sixty
years.
In addition to my flip
flop
jewelry,
cards and
prints, I have also written and illustrated two children’s books
relating to the heart. One is focused on the importance of
sharing love;
and the other, on the importance of heart health. Once they
are
published, I will make them available on my web site. Please check
back
for
other Flip Flop Heart™ products that are presently in the design phase.

In memory of my father, Newt Hamblet, I am donating a portion of my
proceeds from the sale of all Flip Flop Heart™ items to the
American
Heart
Association.
Brief Bio on Bobbie
Bobbie is a free-lance
writer and artist, whose greatest joy is her family. She and her husband
of 35 years have three grown daughters and one
granddaughter, who keep
her heart smiling … as do her three uniquely
wonderful sons-in-law.
Bobbie believes no one is
ever too old to play; and she is passionate about using her creative
gifts to share her Christian faith.
Bobbie lives with her
husband, Tom, and her rescued cocker spaniel, Princess, in the northern
Virginia countryside. She didn’t change her
dog’s name when she adopted her from the pound because it was a chance
to become instant royalty. “I rather like the
title, Queen Mother,”
Bobbie says, giggling.
